MAC Regionals December 2-3 (Friday and Saturday)
MAC Regionals is being hosted by West Valley this year and again will be held at UAF using their electronic target system. Coach Jason said that we will have 3 relays this year. Colony is not currently part of region six, but both Tok and Colony have expressed a desire to become region members. Each team (Hutchison, West Valley, Lathrop, North Pole, Delta, and Colony) will have 6 shooters. The relays will be mixed, meaning that 2 shooters from each school will participate in each of the 3 relays.
On Friday, only those team members competing in Air Rifle will be dismissed from school to go to UAF. Students need to be at UAF at 8:45 am.
ALL team members (even if not competing) will be expected to be at Regionals for the match at the end of school day.
On Saturday, all members should be in attendance. If they're not competing, they'll be encouraging and cheering their fellow teammates.
The relay schedule has not been finalized, I will post it once it's received.
Congratulations to the following shooters who have earned spots for the regional championships!

Delta Match Info
Our match against Delta was rescheduled for Saturday, November 12th. We will be shooting the Air portion November 9th at TVSA and bringing the scores/targets with us. We will have 7 shooters, but all of the team is welcome to come on the trip. If they choose to come, they MUST ride the bus to the match with the team (District policy).
We will meet at ADF&G at 5:30 am, then board the bus at 6. It takes 2 hours by bus, so we'll have time to unpack, dress, set up etc. before the match. Please send some money for breakfast (or something nutritious for him/her to eat.) We will be eating lunch at Delta as guests of their team. Also please be sure that your child has appropriate cold weather gear (hats, mitts, boots, parka) just in case the unexpected happens.
There are 5 shooting lanes at Delta, so we will be shooting in shifts. Therefore, please be sure your son/daughter also has homework and/or a good book to read while they are waiting for their turn.
Our anticipated return time is 7pm- but that's very dependent upon the match and travel conditions. Therefore, team members having cell phones are asked to bring them along since they will call when we leave Delta, and as we're coming to the North Pole area so that parents can be at ADF&G to greet us. If students don't have cell phones, we will loan them ours so you will have a better idea of when we'll be back. Families are also welcome to drive down to watch the match (team members are required to ride the bus to Delta, but may return home with parents if we know in advance).
